St. Joseph Parish Legacy Society - Opportunities for Planned Giving

  • Do you have fond memories of St. Joseph Parish? Maybe you were baptized or married here. Maybe your children or grandchildren attended school here. Maybe a special priest or parishioner comforted or inspired you in your time of need.

  • In light of your experiences, please consider how you can play a role in securing the future of St. Joseph Parish.  Your estate plan can ensure that you have provided for the well-being of your loved ones.  It can also serve as a final message that reflects your spiritual values and leaves a lasting legacy of love to the charitable and educational mission of St. Joseph Parish.

It is estimated that 50 percent of Americans do not have a Will. A Will allows you to control how much your loved ones are provided for after your death. It can also create a lasting legacy of giving to your Church.

We each have the opportunity to give expressions of our faith through our support of St. Joseph Parish. A planned donation to the parish can assist you with your call to live as faithful and generous stewards.

St. Joseph Parish has four funds to consider:
  1. The St. Joseph Perpetual Endowment Fund: For the benefit of operation, maintenance, capital requirements and continued existence of St Joseph Parish.
  2. The St. Joseph Catholic School Endowment Fund: This charitable fund benefits the school solely for support, maintenance and educational programs.
  3. The St. Joseph Youth Scholarship Fund: This fund is for the benefit of post-secondary education and St. Joseph School families.
  4. The Dr. Howard R. Ferguson, Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund: This fund is for students at St. Joseph Catholic School who are in the greatest financial need of tuition assistance.

It is important that you consult with your financial planner, attorney, or seek out an Estate Planning Attorney.

Your bequest to the Church may be expressed in these words:

I give and bequeath the sum of $____ to St. Joseph Parish for  ___________________ Fund.

Or

I give and bequeath ______% of the remainder of my estate after all debts, taxes, expenses, and family bequests have been paid, to St. Joseph Parish __________ Fund.
